  • Traveling with your horse across national borders is regulated by several different regulations and it can take a little planning to get everything you need. Here we have tried to gather the most important information that applies to and from most countries.

Common to all trips within Europe (the Nordic countries are excluded) is that the trip must be registered in the Traces system. This is a requirement set in the AHL (Animal Health Law) and has been created so that all movements of horses can be tracked in the event of, for example, any outbreaks of infection. In addition, a temporary export certificate is usually needed and of course the horse must be vaccinated and all vaccinations must be registered. Below you will see the most important points when starting abroad or coming here to start.
